…reassures diaspora, praises Mbah’s governance in Enugu
The Chairman of Nkanu West Local Government Area in Enugu State, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, has called on residents to sustain peace, unity and collective responsibility as the Christmas season is celebrated.
In his Christmas message, Ogbodo said the birth of Jesus Christ underscores values of love, sacrifice and selfless service, which he described as essential for peaceful coexistence and sustainable development.
He thanked residents for their continued support and cooperation, noting that their resilience and commitment to peace have strengthened efforts to improve security, governance and development across the local government area.
The council chairman also welcomed indigenes in the diaspora who returned home for the festivities, assuring them that his administration is open to meaningful partnerships and collaborations that would enhance human capital development and community growth.
Ogbodo praised the leadership of Enugu State Governor, Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, describing his governance style as people-focused and development-driven, with tangible improvements in infrastructure and service delivery, including in Nkanu West.
He urged residents to continue supporting government policies and programmes aimed at promoting inclusive development and improving the wellbeing of the people.
The chairman expressed hope that Christmas would usher in renewed peace, prosperity and good health for households in the area, adding that the New Year holds promise for greater opportunities and sustained progress in Nkanu West and Enugu State.

My dear Ndi Nkanu West,
As we joyfully celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, I extend my warmest Christmas greetings to you and your families.
