The Governor of Anambra State and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has won the November 8 Anambra governorship election.
Although INEC is yet to formally announce him as the winner, PACESETTER reports that at the end of the collation and publication of results of the 21 LGAs in the state, APGA’s Soludo polled 422,664 votes.
Out of the total of 2,788,864 registered voters in Anambra, only 598,229 were accredited voters for the election.
The candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, came second with a total of 99,445, while that of the Young Progressives Party, YPP, came third with a total of 37,753 votes.
The candidate of the Labour Party, Dr. George Moghalu, scored 10,576 votes, coming fourth.
