Political stakeholders, traditional rulers and the Diaspora in Enugu State have applauded the governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah on his second anniversary in office.
In their various congratulatory messages sent in to PACESETTER, they lauded the giant strides of the governor in the areas of infrastructure, tech, security, health, education, industrialization, tourism and agriculture.
For the Enugu State Commissioner for Innovation, Science and Technology, Engr. Prince Lawrence Ezeh, he noted that the state had witnessed tremendous developments.
“You have consistently shown that leadership is serious business, discovering opportunities where others looked away and executing your promises with clinical precision.
“We are proud of what you represent and the hope that you illuminate”, Ezeh’s statement read.
On her part, the Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Industry, Adaora Chukwu, commended Mbah’s “thoughtful leadership in building the rails of business revolution and transforming the investment outlook of our dear State”.
“Your commitment to creating a business enabling environment has been inspiring and we are honored to partner with you in the driving progress”, she stated.
Referencing the projects the governor had commenced in his local government, the Council Chairman of Nkanu West said:
“For Enugu State, this anniversary marks a song of thanksgiving and gratitude from a people to their God, a people blessed and led by a man he raised.
“…we describe you as a rainbow with so many beautiful colours, the first word in our song of hope, the reply to the letters we wrote to God. Your unrivaled commitment to the rising of Enugu State has alerted the world to behold our state as the bride of the East, loved by all”.
According to a Monarch, Igwe Igwesi Obi Igwesi, “what we are witnessing in Enugu State is transcendental.
“Your mind knows no limitations, it conceives a thing and births it against all odds. Your Infrastructural developments are ubiquitous. Your continuous commitment to the social contract you have with the people of Enugu State is noteworthy – with you, there are no unkept promises”.
In his message, Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu celebrated the governor for his unwavering focus, visionary leadership, and significant strides in advancing the progress and well-being of the state.
He averred that locals witnessed the tangible impact of the administration’s developmental agenda, particularly in opening up rural areas and enhancing the quality of life of the people.
A Diasporan, Dr. M.O Ene, in his terse message, traced the names of those who had led Enugu State from 1952, wishing the governor victory in his determination to fix the state.
A group, Forum of Secretaries to Local Governments of Enugu State, also noted that under the leadership of the governor, the state “has emerged as a shining example of good governance in Nigeria and the global community.
“The progress recorded in various sectors, including infrastructure development, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment, is a testament to your administration’s unwavering dedication to the well-being of Ndi Enugu”.
The Forum tasked the governor to continue to “take Enugu State to a greater height”.
