Nnewi born Technocrat, IT Expert and aspirant of Labour party for the Anambra 2025 Governorship election, Mr John Nwosu has assured that with his governance blueprint anchored on the acronym -SHEEEMS, he will address all the sectorial lapses of the Soludo led administration in Anambra State.
Nwosu who spoke during an interaction with some selected media practitioners in Awka on Saturday said with SHEEEMS which stands for –Security, Health, Education, Economy, Environment, Markets and Social Welfare, every aspect of development will be taken care of holistically under his watch as Anambra governor if elected.
He lamented that the Soludo administration promised “mountains but delivered molehills” noting that security which should be topmost among the primary purpose of government has nose-dived under the Soludo administration while other indices of development have been in a state of lackluster.
Nwosu said governing Anambra should not be about sloganeering but efficient service delivery anchored on transparency and performance that can be benchmarked and measurable.
He said the leadership provided by Governors of Abia and Enugu States so far shows that Governors can render appreciable service to their people while Anambra deserves much more than what is happening in its governance presently.
“I am bringing into governance a commitment to best practices and efficient service delivery with our Security, Health, Education, Economy, Environment, Markets and Social Welfare (SHEEEMS) governance platform.
“We will replicate and improve on the ANIDS (Anambra Integrated Development Strategy) governance model. Most of our leaders no longer have the fear of God. So, they make promises they don’t intend to keep and siphon public resources that are not theirs. I offer, with all humility, a different approach to governance.
“Look at Abia State and Enugu State. What is happening there is not Rocket Science; it is humble, diligent and transformative leadership. That is what I am offering to Anambra people. Our governance performances will always be benchmarked and measurable,” he said.
“Therefore, those governance needs peculiar to Anambra must be accorded the highest priority. There will be less window dressing and sloganeering. We will consult broadly; and listen to advice and superior logic. We shall also walk the talk!” he said.
“We must have the political will for collaborative governance efforts and choose the optimal models.Government’s primary responsibility is the protection of lives and properties. So it’s Security, Security and Security; followed by Healthcare, Education and Economy in that order and as listed in our SHEEEMS governance platform. It’s all, about service delivery. Well, Soludo promised mountains and delivered molehill. We will not follow that trajectory. And we will not be disrespectful to Ndi Anambra” he stated.
