Day 3 of Protests: Rivers Protesters Block Fubara’s Motorcade, Demand He Speaks To Them

Earlier today, Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s convoy was momentarily blocked by #EndBadGovernance protesters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, who demanded that he come down to speak with them.

The protesters crowded the streets, yelling with delight and waving green leaves.

The Governor’s motorcade passed after a short while and the protesters carried on with their protests.

The protesters in Port Harcourt regrouped for the third day running for the #EndBadGovernance demonstrations which began on August 1, 2024.

They converged on the Pleasure Park in the city, carried placards and insisted they would not leave until their demands were met.

Saturday’s protests have been largely peaceful across the Rivers capital.
