Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has stated that contrary to misleading information, his government has not received any dime from the Federal Government to implement 35,000 Naira wage.
Pacesetter reports that Otti made this known during a meeting with the leadership of organised Labour in Abia State; Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Joint Negotiating Council (JNC).
Reassuring the organised labour of his commitment to the welfare of workers, Ottipromised to look into the wage award demand of Abia Workers.
He disclosed that his government will create the Ministry of Labour and Productivity as his government is poised to make minimum changes to the structure of government.
According to him, the new Ministry will have its Commissioner from the Labour fold.
