Ishi-Ozalla Community endorses APGA Guber Candidate, Frank Nweke Jr

The people of Ozalla have endorsed their son, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, (APGA) Frank Nweke Jr. on Sunday, September 25.

Nweke, a son of Ishi-Ozalla, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu was greeted with celebration, laudable commendations, prayers and the presentation of the sacred Ofo.

Presenting the Ofo, Chief Priest of Ishi-Ozalla, Chief Okechukwu Nwekeoba thanked Nweke for his commitment to the community and prayed for his success at the polls.

“You are a son that we are proud of. Your interventions at different times have impacted our community greatly. You stepped in decisively to save us from the hands of herdsmen who terrorised the community and also provided a long-lasting solution to stop inter-communal crisis in our community and restore peace”

The Chief Priest emphasized the significance of the Ofo presentation as a symbol of justice and authority and further called on their forefathers and the gods of the land to protect Nweke and give him victory at the polls in the coming election.

Speaking on the credibility of the former Director-General of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group, the eldest member of the community, Chief Ani said that among all the candidates vying for the office of the governor in Enugu State, Mr Nweke is the most qualified with a track record of integrity and excellence. He gave a vote of confidence for his ability to transform the State if elected come March 2023.

Amongst other members of the community who also spoke highly of Nweke was Chief Okwudili Chianeke, Okoffia’na Nkanu, who noted that Frank’s stellar performance at the Federal level was a sign that he would perform well if entrusted with the affairs of the state.

Mr Nweke in his response thanked his people for the trust and promised to leave a legacy of good governance that promotes fairness and equal development in Enugu State if elected as the governor.
