ESMCL Launches Enugu Rice, Garri, Cashew, Palm Oil on EnuguMarket App

The Enugu State Government, through the Enugu State Marketing Company Limited, has launched four locally produced commodities — Enugu Rice, Enugu Garri, Enugu Cashew, and Enugu Palm Oil — on the EnuguMarket Mobile App, allowing residents to purchase these items directly from their phones and receive delivery within two hours.

The Enugu State Marketing Company Limited is led by Engr. Mike Ogbuekwe as the Managing Director. Ogbuekwe also doubles as the Adviser on Agriculture to the governor of Enugu State, Barr. Peter Mbah.

PACESETTER reports that when the deployment of the EnuguMarket App was announced, Ogbuekwe noted that the e-commerce platform is in line with the mandate of the state governor to digitize every facet of the state.

The move represents a significant expansion of the state’s digital commerce platform, which was first published on the Google Play Store in November 2025. The EnuguMarket Mobile App is also available on Apple store.

How to Access the Commodities

Residents can download the EnuguMarket App from the Google Play Store using the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixels.enugu_market. Those who prefer web browsing can also access the platform at www.enugumarket.ng.

Once on the app, shoppers can browse the new “Enugu Brand” section featuring the four commodities, add items to their cart, and checkout for home or office delivery.

Fast Delivery and Quick Pickup

According to the app’s service commitment, customers who order groceries and daily consumables receive delivery within two hours. Quick pickup options are also available for those who prefer to collect their orders in person.

The app features flash sales and top picks tailored to individual users, allowing shoppers to access competitive prices on the newly launched Enugu-branded commodities.

Supporting Local Farmers and Producers

The launch of Enugu Rice, Enugu Garri, Enugu Cashew, and Enugu Palm Oil on the digital platform is designed to create a direct market link between local producers and consumers, eliminating middlemen and ensuring that farmers receive better value for their products.

This aligns with the state’s broader strategy of promoting locally made goods while providing residents with convenient access to quality food items.
