The Police Service Commission (PSC) has released the names of successful applicants recruited into the Nigeria Police Force as part of the ongoing exercise to enlist 50,000 Police Constables.
According to a statement signed by the Head of Protocol and Public Relations of the Police Service Commission, Torty Njoku Kalu, the recruitment exercise was conducted through a comprehensive, inclusive, equitable, and transparent process in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Character Commission, the Ministry of Police Affairs, State Career and Counselling Departments, and the Police Community Relations Committee.
The Commission directed candidates who participated in the recently concluded written examination to log in to the official recruitment portal, npfapplication.psc.gov.ng, to check their recruitment status. It said the portal would open at 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026.
The statement added that successful applicants would also receive notifications through the email addresses and phone numbers submitted during the application process.
The PSC said successful candidates would be required to report to their designated Police Training Institutions on dates to be announced for medical examinations and documentation. It warned that candidates who fail to report within the stipulated period would be deemed to have declined the offer, while those who fail the mandatory medical examination conducted by the Police Medical Team upon resumption would be declared medically unfit and withdrawn from the training programme.
It further advised successful applicants to report with their training call-up slip, NIN slip, BVN slip, original and photocopies of their certificates, as well as other documents and items listed on the recruitment portal.
The statement also said the Chairman of the Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for approving the recruitment of 50,000 Police Constables as part of efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.
Argungu urged the successful candidates to regard their recruitment as a call to serve the nation with dignity, integrity, and unwavering commitment to ensuring a safer and more secure Nigeria.
