ONE YEAR IN OFFICE OF GOV. PETER MBAH: Igwe Igwesi Congratulates Mbah’s Rollout of ‘Disruptive Programs’ in Enugu

…Prays For Mbah’s Focus to ‘Continue on the Lofty Trajectory’

The newly inaugurated Chairman of Nkanu West L.G.A Traditional Rulers’ Council in Enugu State, His Royal Highness, Eze Barr. Igwesi Obi Igwesi, has congratulated Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State on the occasion of his one year in office as governor.

In a statement personally signed by the first class traditional ruler, Igwe Igwesi, who is the Eze Chinawaeze III of Obuoffia, noted that Mbah’s governance model “is worthy of commendation”.

He highlighted Mbah’s disruptive programs “in the electricity sector through the signing of the Enugu State Electricity Bill into law and establishing the Enugu Electricity Regulatory Commission, a concrete step towards making the state a major player in the power sector”.

He also lauded the initiative of the construction of a New Enugu City, an initiative he stressed was long overdue following the population explosion currently noticed in the capital city, Enugu.

“The New Enugu City, a visionary program connecting the South-East, South-South and North-Central regions, and to be characterized by modern facilities to rank with other world cities is proof that you are a disruptive innovator par excellence”, Igwe Igwesi wrote.

Other programs the Monarch lauded were the ongoing completion of the International Conference Center, rehabilitation of old and construction of new roads, the 260 smart green schools to be established in each of the 260 wards as well as the judicial reforms and attraction of investments.

The Chairman of the Nkanu West Traditional Rulers’ Council, while praying for Governor Mbah to remain focused and “continue on the lofty trajectory”, implored him to shun distractions and remain committed to fulfilling all promises he made to the electorates in all parts of the state.

He further implored the citizens of Enugu State to continue to support Gov. Peter Mbah’s administration.
