President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, on the occasion of his 54th birthday, praising his transformative leadership and commitment to progressive governance.
In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President celebrated the lawyer and philanthropist, highlighting the tremendous progress recorded in Enugu State under his leadership over the past two years.
President Tinubu particularly lauded Dr. Mbah’s bold commitment to the ideals of progressive governance and constitutional democracy, as exemplified in his administration’s transformational projects and programmes.
The President noted that Governor Mbah, who achieved remarkable success in the oil and gas sector before venturing into politics, has brought his private sector expertise to bear on governance since his election in 2023.
Tinubu’s Personal Testimony
Quoting from his official visit to Enugu State in 2025, President Tinubu offered a personal testimony of the Governor’s leadership qualities.
“During my official visit to Enugu in 2025, I witnessed firsthand what good and competent leadership, as demonstrated by Mbah, can accomplish when anchored on vision and service to the people,” the President remarked.
President Tinubu also acknowledged Governor Mbah’s broader impact beyond Enugu State, noting his inclusive governance style and collaboration with other Southeast governors.
“Dr. Mbah’s inclusive governance and partnership with other Southeast governors is repositioning the region for economic and political transformation,” he added.
The President concluded by wishing the Enugu Governor good health and renewed strength as he continues his good work in the state.
