Imo: Uzodimma Sets Up Committee for Rehabilitation of Communities Affected by Insecurity

Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma, has inaugurated a Fact-Finding and Implementation Committee to drive the recovery and rehabilitation of communities recently affected by insecurity in the Okigwe zone.

The initiative follows what the Governor described as successful efforts to restore peace in the area. The committee will focus on communities across Okigwe, Onuimo, and Ehime Mbano Local Government Areas.

The committee is chaired by His Eminence, Dr. Samuel C. Kanu Uche, Prelate Emeritus of the Methodist Church of Nigeria, and includes prominent leaders drawn from the Okigwe Senatorial Zone.

Its mandate is to assess the scale of damage and recommend practical measures for a comprehensive government-led rehabilitation programme.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the safety and welfare of citizens, noting that efforts to safeguard lives and property remain a top priority.
