Yuletide: Ubru lauds Mbah’s agricultural reforms

The Enugu State Commissioner for Agriculture and Agro-Industrialization, Dr. Patrick Nwabueze Ubru, has extended Christmas goodwill to Governor Peter Mbah, commending his administration’s agricultural reforms and development initiatives.

In a Yuletide message issued on behalf of his family and staff of the ministry, Ubru said the Christmas season reflects God’s love for humanity, noting that Governor Mbah’s style of governance mirrors that spirit of service and compassion.

He listed key initiatives under the administration to include the establishment of Special Agro-Industrial Processing Zones across the three senatorial zones, the Framework for Land for Intensive Agriculture, cocoa farm clusters at Amechi Idodo, agricultural input and mechanisation support schemes, and the Enugu State Integrated Livestock Development Centre at Ubahu Amankanu.

Others, according to him, are the promotion of irrigation and dry-season farming, the Enugu Fish and Vegetable Farms at Owo, as well as institutional reforms and capacity-building programmes in the sector.

Ubru said the initiatives demonstrate the governor’s commitment to achieving zero headcount poverty through agriculture.

He prayed for continued divine guidance for the governor as he leads the state on the path of development and transformation, wishing him a Merry Christmas.
