The Labour Party Governorship Candidate in Anambra State, Chief Dr. George Moghalu (Ohamadike Nnewi), has joined the people of Nnewi and other well-wishers across the nation to celebrate His Royal Highness, Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III, the revered monarch of Nnewi, on his 100th birthday anniversary.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Johnson Okoye, Chief Moghalu described Igwe Orizu as “a father, a mentor, and a royal icon whose reign has been defined by peace, wisdom, and purposeful leadership.” He said the Igwe’s century-long life is a symbol of divine grace and a blessing not only to Nnewi but to Nigeria at large.
Chief Moghalu, who is a loyal member of the Igwe’s cabinet, expressed deep gratitude to God for the monarch’s life.
He noted that “at 100, His Majesty remains strong, active, and full of wisdom — able to walk, work, and even read without glasses. That is a rare blessing from God. Your wise counsel has guided many, myself included, and your reign has brought peace, unity, and progress to our beloved town.”
As he joined millions of Ndi Nnewi and other well-wishers to mark this remarkable milestone, Chief Moghalu prayed for God’s continued grace upon the monarch.
“May the Almighty continue to bless you with good health, renewed strength, and enduring peace as you continue to reign in dignity and love,” he said.
Long Live His Royal Highness, Igwe K.O.N. Orizu III!
Long Live the Nnewi Kingdom!!
