NNEWI – The Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Dr. George Moghalu, earlier today joined other eligible voters to participate in the Anambra South Senatorial by-election. Dr. Moghalu performed his civic duty at his polling unit located at Obi Okpunoeze, Uruagu Ward 1, Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Arriving at the polling unit in the morning, he was warmly received by electoral officials, party supporters, and members of his community who turned out in large numbers to exercise their franchise. The atmosphere was generally calm, with voting materials arriving on time and the process reported to be peaceful and orderly.
Speaking briefly after casting his vote, Dr. Moghalu commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials for the smooth conduct of the exercise and encouraged citizens to come out and participate actively in strengthening democracy. He emphasized that elections remain the most legitimate means through which the people can choose leaders who will represent their interests effectively.
Today’s participation, according to Dr. Moghalu, is not only an expression of civic responsibility but also a reaffirmation of his unwavering belief in the power of the ballot as the cornerstone of democracy.
