Pat, Wife of Elder Statesman, Jim Nwobodo, to Receive Chieftaincy Title Jan. 3

Dr. Barr. Patricia Nwobodo, wife of the former governor of old Anambra state, Sen. Dr. Jim Nwobodo, is set to receive a Chieftaincy title.

The Chieftaincy which is to be conferred on Friday, January 3, 2025 during the second ofala of HRH Igwe Greg Ugwu will hold at Igwe’s Palace, Attakwu, Akegbe Ugwu, Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.

While Nigeria’s former Senate President, Sen. Dr. Ken Nnamani will chair the occasion, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has been named the Chief Guest of Honour and the Executive Chairman of Nkanu West, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, the Chief Host.

Patricia Nwobodo (nee Uguru), Pat, as she is fondly called, in addition to her law degree, holds a doctorate degree in Blockchain Technology from the University of Pennsylvania, UPENN, Philadelphia, U.S.A.

She also holds different masters degrees – Harvard (M.P.A.) obtained in 2010 in public administration with special bias in leadership and management of public institutions, public policy, economics of public institutions including budgeting, taxation regulation, infrastructure financing and management; MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Sloan School of Management, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA which she obtained in 2009 with specialisation in global leadership and innovation, leadership of global corporations, corporate finance, entrepreneurship and technology, human resources development and personnel policy, and another MBA from Institute of Management and Development, IMD Business School, Lausanne, Switzerland, obtained in 2005 with bias in corporate strategy, international business development and entrepreneurship.

With more than 30 years experience within the banking and financial services industry with focus on the development of small and medium segment for the growth of the real sector of the economy, Pat is a chartered stockbroker and licensed financial trader with the Nigerian Stock Exchange and also has the professional qualification of a licensed pension administrator.

She was an Executive Director at the defunct Savannah Bank Plc and had been a Director and individual major shareholder of former FSB International Bank (which was later merged with the current Fidelity Bank) from 1992 to 2000.

Pat was also the Chief Executive Officer, Rowet Capital Management in Lagos and between 1997 and 2000, she was the Chief Executive Officer and Management Director of Price Securities and Trust Company Limited, a player in the Nigerian Stock Exchange which was also licenced at the time by the Central Bank of Nigeria as a nonbank deposit taker.
